Ce concept store a une chouette histoire. En 2012 l’agence de design hollandais Droog décide de s’agrandir en transformant leur magasin en boutique hôtel. Ils agrandissent l’espace mais malheureusement suite à des problèmes de travaux ils ne peuvent ouvrir qu’une chambre. Avec une telle superficie ils décident donc d’aménager cet hôtel de la sorte : à l’étage se trouve la fameuse chambre, un salon de thé et une librairie. Au rez-de-chaussée il y a un espace consacré à la mode avec une superbe sélection de marques comme Isabel Marrant et Opening Ceremony, une partie où sont disposés tous les produits cosmétiques du label Cosmania et une petite galerie d’art contemporain. La cour intérieure a quant à elle été utilisée pour créer un magnifique petit jardin où se mêlent installations design et plantes. Le pari est réussi : on ressort avec l’impression d’avoir séjourné dans un hôtel. Chouette expérience. Observez le panneau à l’entrée. Que dit-il ? Have a pleasant stay. Voilà, rien à ajouter.

This concept store has a great story to it. In 2012, the Dutch design agency Droog, decided to expand by transforming their store into a boutique hotel. So they started their project of enlarging the place, but unfortunately due to construction issues, were only able to open one room. With all the extra space they had, they decided to divided the place as so: on the first floor, you can find the room I was referring to, a tea salon and a library. On the ground floor, there is a space dedicated to fashion with a wonderful selection of brands such as Isabel Marrant and Opening Ceremony, a part of the room where cosmetic products from the brand Cosmania are displayed, and a small contemporary art gallery. The inner courtyard was used to create a magnificent little garden where design installations and plants mix perfectly. Big success: you go out of there feeling like you really stayed in an actual hotel. Great experience. Have a look at the sign at the entrance. What does it say? Have a pleasant stay. All is said.
