Robbie, cette exposition est pour toi ! Laisse moi te présenter mon artiste préféré : Chris Ofili. J’en suis littéralement tombée amoureuse il y a quatre ans lorsqu’un dimanche matin, encore étudiante à Londres, je me suis rendue à la Tate Britain visiter son exposition. C’était tellement beau que je l’ai visité deux fois d’affilée. Pour te dire ! En résumé, ça donne : peintre Anglais d’origine Nigériane, exposé à la Saatchi & Serpentine Gallery, vainqueur du Prix Turner en 1998, vivant entre les Caraïbes et Londres, célèbre pour utiliser des déjections d’éléphants dans ses peintures. Moi ce que j’adore, se sont ses portraits aquarelles et la dynamique des couleurs qu’il emploie. Ca sent l’inspiration Basquiat. Fonce-y pour moi. Jusqu’au 25 Janvier 2015 au New Museum.

Robbie, this exhibition is for you! Let me introduce you to my favorite artist: Chris Ofili. I fell head over heels in love with him and his work on a Sunday morning about four years ago, when I was still a student in London and I went to Tate Britain to see his exhibit. It was so good that I saw it twice in a row. In a few words, I goes like this: English painter with Nigerian origins, exposed at the Saatchi & Serpentine Gallery, winner of the 1998 Turner Prize, living between the Caribbean and London, and famous for using elephant excrement on his paintings. What I personally love, are his aquarelle portraits and the dynamic of the colors he uses. You can feel the influence of Basquinat in his work. Go ahead for me.
