Age ? 26. DIEU ?!

Stan is good looking, brilliant, cool and trendy. Way back when we both met, he already played the piano extremely well, was on top of the game at Sciences Po, spoke a bunch of languages, and took amazing photos. Since then, he moved to Tel Aviv before settling down in Mexico to work for LVMH. Model, French teacher for a humanitarian mission in Armenia, Alejandro Inarritu fan, worships Chilly Gonzalez, poet, traveller and artist. Age? 26. GOD?!

1) A neighborhood: San Miguel Chapultepec. People only have eyes for Polanco (the rich and the expats), La Condesa (bourgeoisie), La Roma Norte (the hipsters). But just next to that, below the park, the little quiet and upcoming neighborhood is San Miguel: nice bistros, art galleries, creative agencies, small concept-kiosks, beautiful houses… and all of this without the usual crowd and in a much more authentic atmosphere. 2) A dish: I love breakfast in Mexico, but to stay more classical I’d say chilaquiles verdes (good everywhere) or huitlacoche omelets (especially well done at Chez Maque). 3) A must do: One? It’s difficult, the DF has so much to offer, everyone can find something they like there. Going to see a concert at Bellas Artes maybe, the decoration of the room is just breathtaking. 4) A drink: A good Mezcal “Pierede Almas” con sal de gusano (sel de ver) y rebanada de naranja. 5) An escape: An escape in the city itself on the rooftop of the Downtown Hotel6) A restaurant: These days Cassius, on rue Orizaba, Roma Norte, near the Rio de Janeiro Park. It’s relatively new, the place is gorgeous, the service is friendly and the value for money is just unbeatable. 7) An artist: The poet Emilio Pacheco, who sadly passed away last February. 8) A cultural visit: The Colegio San Ildefonso, in the historic center just behind the zocalo, is a magnificent establishment with always interesting exhibitions. 9) A market: The flea market from the Jardin Pushkin or from Lagunila. I love to stroll around in these places. Or the Jamaica flower market10) Your 3 fashion-addresses: FOR MEN : Apt 25, on Corboda, which opened only a few weeks ago. It’s small but the selection of foreign brands is interesting. Then of course the one-and-only SilverDeer at Santa Fe (to find Kitsune, APC, Common Project, Oficine Générale, Thom Browne, Band of Outsiders), and the concept-store called Common People in Polanco, on Emilio Castelbar. FOR WOMEN: Cañamiel for Latin-American design. Otherwise, it all depends on the budget; from H&M to Saks Fith Avenue, the choice is yours! Yakampot just opened a shop in Polanco, and since it won the Who’s next prize in Vogue, it’s kind of the hotspot for fashion editors at the moment. Cihua, which is a Mexican brand designed by a French girl, is also to be followed. MIXED: Nomada is an on the move pop-up with a great selection (among which are Dieppa Restrepo shoes, very cool, and Gala is Love jewelry, very in at the moment), and the Lonja Mercantil, which is a mexican design fare that brings the best of the local production together twice a year.
